A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote

I think I read it in a couple of hours and cried during and at the end of every story.

A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote is a very emotional and evocative holiday novel.  There are three short stories in this volume, two for Christmas and one for Thanksgiving.  I think I read it in a couple of hours and cried during and at the end of every story.  They are simple and heartbreaking in their own ways.  There is a brief summery of Truman’s sad life at the beginning of the book and that will help you understand more completely how sweet and sad these stories are.  He was raised in Alabama by relatives and left to the care of a kindly aunt that was a pure soul.  She and her buddy did everything together and got into a few scrapes.  If you are lucky enough to have an angel in your life this will make you weep in a good way.
