A House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune
Linus is an office drone living a gray life working for the man and trudging from home to work and work to home in a constant drizzle. His only highlight is a beach scene mouse pad that says Wish You Were Here. When his company sends him on assignment to an island he can’t believe his luck. He’ll do the job get back and get a promotion. A House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune is a wonderful and magical story about found family and second chances. There is a gnome, a wyvern, a weredog, a mysterious gelatinous blob, and the anti-Christ. Linus learns that there is more to life than filling out forms and ticking boxes. He takes the time to get to know these special children and their carer, Arthur. Be prepared to feel some feelings and maybe use a tissue or two. There is love, respect, and friendship a plenty and it will give you a warm glow and you’ll wish you were there.
