An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good by Helene Tursten

I know I wouldn’t expect an old woman to drop a giant penis sculpture on me…would you?  Helene Tursten certainly knows how to subvert expectations in her book; An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good.  Maud is nothing like anyone would think.  From the outside she’s an old lady with a big apartment and not much else going on. Underestimate her at your extreme peril.  I believe she may have some undiagnosed personality disorder, but her exploits make for hugely entertaining reading.  This collection of her dastardly deeds is only part one!  Not only does she kill people, she’s a thief and possibly a fraud.  If anyone ever looked at her twice, I’m sure it would be at their extreme peril. So, be very respectful of your elders!
