Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett

Now it’s just sit back and rule the kingdom, right? Hell no.

Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales is the third and (maybe?) final installment that follows the exploits of my favorite academic and her Faerie fiancé, Wendell.  He has a more magical name, but why would you when your human name is Wendell Bambleby? It’s so well chosen!  Emily and Wendell have found the magic door back to his kingdom and taken the throne from his (you guessed it) evil stepmother.  Now it’s just sit back and rule the kingdom, right?  Hell no.  There is a curse, and with it, a cure to be found.  There are court politics to be negotiated and so many academic papers to be written and published.  Emily is nothing if not dedicated to research and dryadology.  But less certain is being regal and thinking about all the creatures of the kingdom and getting married!  I hope for more of Emily's story.
