Someone told me to read this if you like Harry Potter…so of course I did!  Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire starts off strong. A young girl, Nancy, is dropped off at a boarding school.  Her parents think she’s crazy, but her new head teacher knows she is not.  Nancy, like her fellow students, has just come back home after finding a doorway to another world.  She lived in the Halls of the Dead and perfected the art of stillness.  It was prized there and she doesn’t know quite how to be quick again.  She must learn quick as some fellow students are being murdered and the someone new and from the Halls of the Dead is high on the list of suspects.  It’s a great read for all of us who want to find that door to anywhere else.
