Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree

I don’t know how I stumbled on Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree. I may have seen the cover pop up on Goodreads or in the queue at the library, but however I found it I’m glad I did. Viv is an orc, a swordsman and a wannabe barista. She found coffee when she was recovering from a battle wound. Now she is recovered and looking to bring coffee and a bit of community to the town of Murk. She gets way more than she bargained for when people start curiously coming through her doors. She finds a helper, a baker and so much more. It’s hard to pin down why I like this so much, but I just like people living their best life and their best life usually involves books and hot drink. High fantasy and low stakes is a genre that I much appreciate and I look forward to more and more authors getting on board.
