Mislaid in Parts Half-Known by Seanan McGuire

This series has quietly become one of my favorite recommendations.  Maybe not that quietly.  I’ve recommended them all and this is nine in the series and I hope it never ends. Mislaid in Parts Half-Known by Seanan McGuire is another quest.  Strictly (but not really) forbidden at Eleanor West’s School for Wayward Children.  Antsy was in a world where she could open many, many doors and go to many worlds and all she paid was time.  Her time.  She’s not as old as she seems.  The keeper of lost things didn’t tell her about the price she was paying for her travel and so she was expelled never to return.  But back home she can find anything, and that includes doors.  Dangerous for her and her friends when some people just want to go home.  There is adventure plenty in this installment, and dinosaurs!

If you’re following the Wayward Children with us, read Where the Drowned Girls Go too. Cora leaves Eleanor West’s safety for a school determined to convince its students their doors were never real, and things get considerably stranger from there. Read the review →
