Kate McKinnon is a living quirk.  Why should her books be any different.  I love strange new voices that tell kids it’s okay to be smart and weird.  I wish there were grown-ups tell me that when I was a wee one.  In The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science, we meet three sisters: Gertrude, Dee-Dee, and Eugenia.  They are trapped in a real school of Etiquette but soon find themselves in the bizarre situation of saving the very small and rigid town they live in from a giant rock eating worm and a dark-robed group of adults set on domination.  Not just that, but they must also try to figure out themselves and how they came to be orphans with just the right talents for Mad Science.  Great illustrations and plenty of laughs.
