The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is a book I loved so much I made my book club read it.  It is historical, mysterious, and magical.  A lot of my favorite things.  We begin with two rival magicians who make a bet that their apprentices can out magic each other and the stakes are the highest they can be.  So, Le Cirque des Rêves, is born.  A traveling circus that appears and amazes you and just as quickly goes away again.  Celia and Marco are the apprentices that don’t even know that they are competing.  They travel with the circus and make more and more spectacular shows and exhibits for the ever-expanding universe that they are creating. As they travel along, they fall more deeply in love not aware of the web in which they are caught.  Will love win the day?  You have to read to find out.
