The Thin Man (1934)
Nick and Nora Charles are one couple in a million. He is a former police detective and she is an heiress that couldn’t be happier to be married to a flatfoot. It is Christmas time in New York and they are there to solve the disappearance of a one-time friend, the man of the title, The Thin Man (1934). There are so many great characters that pop in and out and Nick and Nora throw a great Christmas party. Nick does some investigating while taking the dog, Asta, out for a walk. He and Nora have a wonderful dinner party for all the suspects. Their relationship is fun and romantic with true affection between the two. The lead actors William Powell and Myrna Loy have such amazing chemistry it's no wonder they made so many sequels. Watch as many as you can, they never get old.
