The Book Eaters by Sunyi Dean

There was no way I wasn’t going to read a book with a title like The Book Eaters!

Hello Readers! Sorry for the short hiatus - there are two of us. One who writes and one who posts. I, the poster, have been in the process of moving to another state, which turned out to be more disruptive than expected. I'm all settled now, so posts will be daily again on weekdays. Thank you for reading and thank you for your patience. Now on to today's review:

There was no way I wasn’t going to read a book with a title like The Book Eaters! There have been many times after a joyous reading that I’ve wanted to eat the book to have all the goodness inside of me.  I wasn’t sure what to expect and this book kept subverting all expectations.  Devon and her son are on the run.  Why? From whom? Who can she trust? Where do the books some into it? It is a dark road that she travels to escape an enclave known as The Family. Nothing creepier! The weirdness goes even deeper, and the books are all.  When your reading choices are dictated to you, how do you know who you are? If that is all you have to sustain you, how do you survive on nothing but fairy tales? Sunyi Dean is an author I will read again.
